Tools You’ll Need

To get started, we’ll use the following tools 

 

  • Airtable: A flexible database that will help store and manage your video content, textbook scripts, and voiceover data.

  • Make.com: A no-code automation platform that connects different services like Airtable, Google Drive, Eleven Labs, and JSON2 Video, automating the workflow. 

  • Eleven Labs: An AI-powered platform for generating realistic voiceovers from textbooks.

  • JSON2Video: A tool that combines video, audio, and other means into a single, cohesive video.

 

Step 1: Preparing the Design in Airtable


Airtable serves as the starting point for this automation process, furnishing a centralized place to manage all your means. In this case, we’ll use it to store the following:


  • The video file ID from Google Drive (this will be your old video). 

  • The textbook script for generating the voiceover.

  • A final video URL after the video has been reused and repurposed. 


Setting Up Airtable


  • Create A New Base: Begin by creating a new base in Airtable named commodities like "JSON to video automation."

  • Add Fields: Add applicable fields to track the different rudiments of your design 

project name a name for each video design.

  • Google Drive Video ID: The ID of the video stored on Google Drive (used as the base footage).

  • Voiceover Script: The textbook that will be converted into a voiceover using Eleven Labs.

  • Final Video URL: A field where the link to the reused video will be stored. 

  • Configure Google Drive Links: To ensure the lines are accessible, make sure that your Google Drive settings allow anyone with the link to view the video and audio lines. You’ll be copying these Google Drive file IDs into Airtable for after-use.


Step 2: Generating Voice Overs Using Eleven Labs


Now that you’ve set up Airtable, the next step is generating the voiceover from the textbook using Eleven Labs. Eleven Labs provides realistic textbook-to-speech (TTS) technology, which will take your script from Airtable and transfigure it into a naturalistic audio file.


Connecting Eleven Labs to Make.com

 

  1. Set Up Make.com: Open your Make.com account and create a new script that will spark when a new row is added in Airtable.

  2. Detector the Automation In Make.com: Set the first module to “Watch Airtable Records” to spark the automation when new data is entered into the Airtable base (i.e., a new video design is created). Link this to your Airtable account and the specific base you’ve just created.

  3. Generate Speech with Eleven Labs:

  4. Add a module for Eleven Labs in Make.com by opting the Text-to-Speech option.

  5. Connect your Eleven Labs account, and select the voice model you want to use. Popular voices include "Adam" (extensively used across the web).

  6. Use the script from the Airtable row as input for generating the voiceover. select the "Voiceover Text" field from Airtable, and collude it to the textbook field in Eleven Labs.

  7. Once the voiceover is generated, the affair will be an audio file (MP3). 

 

Testing the Voiceover


After setting up Eleven Labs, you can manually test the automation by opting a specific row in Airtable. Run the automation to ensure that the audio file is generated and available in Make.com for further use.


Step 3: Storing the Voiceover in Google Drive


Once the audio file is generated, the next step is to save it to Google Drive, where it'll later be used to create the final video. 


Uploading to Google Drive

  1. Add Google Drive to the automation In Make.com, add a new module for Google Drive to upload the voiceover file. You’ll need to authorize Make.com to pierce your Google Drive.

  2. Choose the destination brochure and create a devoted brochure in Google Drive for the design (e.g., “JSON to Video systems”). Copy the brochure’s ID and use it in the Make.com automation to ensure the audio file is uploaded to the right position.

  3. File mapping in the file upload module, use the MP3 file generated in the former step as the source. Make.com will also upload the file to the designated Google Drive brochure.

 

Making the File Public

  • Once the audio file is uploaded, you’ll need to make it intimately accessible.

  • Get share link add a module in Make.com to generate a public share link for the audio file. ensure that the warrants allow anyone with the link to view (or, in this case, access) the file.

  • Save the share link and store the public link to the audio file back into Airtable for easy access.


Step 4: Combining Video and Audio Using JSON2 Video


Now that both the video and audio lines are ready and intimately accessible, the next step is to combine them using JSON2Video. This tool automates the process of overlaying the AI-generated voiceover onto the video footage.


Setting Up the JSON2Video API Call

 

  1. Add HTTP request in Make.com in Make.com, add an HTTP request module. This will shoot a request to the JSON2Video API, which will combine the video and audio lines.

  2. Define API Settings

  3. API URL Use the URL handed by JSON2Video for recycling requests. 

  4. Method Set the request system to POST. 

  5. Heads Add a custom title with your JSON2Video API key to authenticate the request. 

  6. Prepare the JSON cargo The request body (cargo) will contain the following 

  7. Source video The URL of the original video from Google Drive.

  8. Source Audio The public link to the AI-generated voiceover from Google Drive. Video Quality Define the affair of video quality (e.g., 1080p).

  9. Scene Information Specify how the audio should be concentrated onto the video, and ensure that both rudiments sync correctly.

Handling the Response


Once the request is transferred, JSON2Video will return a response containing a Project ID. This ID can be used to track the progress of video creation.


Step 5: Downloading and Saving the Final video


After JSON2Video processes the video, the final step is to download the merged video and save it back to Google Drive.


Adding a Delay

Processing the video can take some time. To handle this, add a detention module in Make.com that pauses the automation for many minutes (e.g., 120 seconds) before trying to download the final video.

  • Make Another API Request: After the detention, shoot another request to JSON2Video to download the final video using the Project ID from the former step.

  • Save to Google Drive: Once the video file is recaptured, upload it to the same Google Drive brochure where the original means are stored. The video should be saved in MP4 format, which is ideal for participating across platforms.


Step 6: Streamlining Airtable with the Final video Link


The final step in the automation process is to update Airtable with the URL of the recently created video. This allows you to fluently track each design and access the final affair whenever demanded.


Streamlining Airtable


  • Add the final video URL after saving the video to Google Drive, get the public share link and update the corresponding row in Airtable with the final video URL.

  • Corroborate the automation you can test the entire process by creating a new video design in Airtable and running the automation. However, the final video should be available in Google Drive, and the link should appear in Airtable, If everything workshop.
